For the Love of Waves

For the Love of Waves is a website that we created back when Nicaragua was still a dream in our minds.  It is a detailed chronology of our experience in buying, building and living in this country and the many adventures that come with it.  Much of it has to do with the neighborhood we live in, which is where the bakery appropriately gets its name.  La Vista.  La Vista is an eco-development within the gates of Hacienda Iguana, just up the valley from Panga Drops.  It is about a twelve minute walk to the beach from our development or an easy four minute drive.  We live a simple, off-grid lifestyle complete with solar electricity and propane refrigeration.  The jungle is lush and quiet (except for the monkeys!) and a nice breeze flows down the hill making it cooler than life on the beach.  There is plenty of opportunity for growth and development in this neighborhood and we encourage you to check it out during your visit to Nicaragua.  For more information visit our website -
